Luminis 5 Consultant Needed

Submitted by risg on Mon, 10/29/2018 - 10:54

Suffolk County Community College on Long Island in New York is looking for a consultant to migrate its current v5.2 portal from one hosted location to another. We cannot do a direct copy as the system architecture of the new location will require a reinstall of Luminis. The college has a significant amount of content in our current location and we are not sure how best to migrate from one location to another. We have asked Ellucian for help but have not received any significant response.

How to export Banner Users and import into Luminis?

Submitted by phillies40 on Mon, 06/02/2014 - 15:02

Hi all

We'd using our own SQL Processes to generate user account XML files for luminis 4 system. We are now testing luminis V and thinking to use Banner baseline Processes to do the luminis account creations.

But after couple weeks of user guide reading, we are very frustrated. :(

Could any school please provide us some tips?

1. How to generate records into GORIROL for Banner Users?
2. We successfully ran and generated records in GORRSQL and GTVSQRU. then what?

Evernote Web Clipper issue with Targeted Announcements

Submitted by tsamlal on Mon, 01/20/2014 - 17:29

It seems the evernote web clipper which I use quite a lot causes problems with Google chrome and luminis. If you are using this combination and are having problems with fckeditor in targeted announcements spinning tirelessly, use another browser or disable the evernote web clipper. Evernote web clipper in IE seems fine, and the compose window in email is not affected.

The error is as follows:

Why is luminis 5 better than 4?

Submitted by phillies40 on Mon, 12/02/2013 - 09:24

Hi all

We are working on upgrading luminis 4 to 5 but my department director wants to know why since our current system running on (windows 2003 OS) is really great and steady.

Are you upgrading to 5 simply for the sake of upgrading or for better reason? Could any school give us reason(s) to upgrade? thanks so much!
